Logan Sargeant will make his most high-profile motorsport appearance since featuring for Williams at the 2024 Dutch Grand Prix when he gets behind the wheel of Era Motorsport's LMP2 entry at the Rolex 24 at Daytona later this month.

The Rolex 24 is North America's most prestigious sports car endurance event and serves as the first major marker on the global motorsport calendar each year. It is also the crown jewel of the IMSA SportsCar Championship series, in which Sargeant raced twice at the end of the 2025 campaign.

Sargeant has been largely absent from the public eye since his F1 career came to an abrupt end midway through the 2024 campaign. The Florida native scored just one point in 36 Grand Prix starts for Williams and was ousted mid-season by James Vowles to facilitate the promotion of Franco Colapinto.

The 25-year-old spent the remainder of the 2024 season out of the spotlight, going dark on social media. He was then announced as a driver for IDEC Sport in the European Le Mans Series for 2025, but withdrew from his seat before the start of the season.

His long-awaited return to racing came in late 2025 as Sargeant was announced to drive the final two rounds of the IMSA SportsCar Championship with PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports in the LMP2 category. This paved the way for his first Rolex 24 appearance in 2026.

Sargeant will drive for Kyle Tilley's Era Motorsport squad at the iconic Daytona International Speedway later this month, driving alongside Alpine's endurance racing stalwart Ferdinand Habsburg and Naveen Rao.

"I'm super excited to be tackling my first-ever Daytona 24 with Era to kick off 2026," he declared. "It's a race I've always wanted to be part of, with how close it is to home. It'll be great to get acquainted with my teammates at the Roar and push hard to come away with a Rolex at the end of the race."

Speaking to Sportscar365, Sargeant previously expressed interest in more LMP2 opportunities after his debut outings in 2025. "Things are looking okay [for 2026]," he explained.

"Options are on the table, so we're just working our way through them, and here obviously testing, so we'll see what the future can hold," he said. I would like to do a little bit of everything, which is always good to be in multiple different cars, multiple championships, learning tracks, and just staying ready for whatever comes."
